Our story
Founded in 2009 JCS Architects is a Maryland based architecture firm specializing in the design of residential projects. The firm’s expertise focuses on both new residential and renovation projects. Operating within all budgets from budget conscious to high-end, JCS Architecture offers a full range of architectural and design services from schematic design to construction documents.
The work of JCS Architecture represents a unique synthesis of conceptual study, technical know-how, and keen attention to detail. A heavy emphasis toward building details ensures that broader ideas are fulfilled together with small scale details such as trimwork. The firm’s thorough understanding of site and program, uniquely approached for each individual project, combined with a passionate interest for building technology lead to design solutions with artistic integrity.
Listening to clients is a hallmark strategy of the firm since it is the client’s program, budget and goals which most influence the design. Simultaneously solving for a myriad range of factors such as architectural design, building codes, budget goals, and lifestyle wishes is an integral part of the eventual design solution.
